Methamphetamine's or 'crystal meth' is a very dangerous drug. It is a synthetic and a stimulant. If you've ever watched the show 'Breaking Bad', you'll know what this drug can do to you. Meth can be snorted, swallowed, injected or smoked. For the quickest and most effective high when taking meth, it's injected. In Canada it is illegal and you will face jail time, pay fines, probation, sent to drug treatment if you're caught using, buying or found with the possession of meth.
Meth is odorless and looks like crystals you'd see in a cave or museum. If a user is looking to buy some crystal, they'd look for the clearest crystal. When it's 'cloudy' looking, it's not as good and won't give as good of high; while if it's 'crystal' clear, it'll give a long lasting and pleasurable high. Meth suppresses normal levels of adrenaline production in the user. So when the high is coming to an end, the user normally complains of a "bad feeling". When adrenaline is being produced at normal levels, it keeps the person balanced emotionally and physically. When they take meth however, it causes chemical imbalance. The user will then need to take more and more substance in order to keep a "good feeling". This is how you get addicted.
It is not made from any plant or herb. The base of cooking this drug is mainly from different pills used for colds and sicknesses. The 'cook' will take certain ingredients out of the pills. To strengthen it, the 'cook' will mix in very dangerous chemicals such as battery acid, drain cleaner, lantern fuel, antifreeze and many other harmful chemicals.
Meth is very dangerous, and can do a lot of damage to your body; here are some examples of the damage it can do. Meth can cause muscle contractions, uncontrollable twitches, and strange movements. It causes a lot of damage to the brain. It'll give the user 'Meth-induced psychosis'; letting them see, hear and even feel things that aren't there. The toxic chemicals in meth can even cause your hair to fall out. When the user needs a dose of meth, they tend to itch and pick at their skin and hair. This is another reason for hair falling out, because they'll pull it out. Meth can severely increase heart rate and blood pressure.Extended use of meth can cause irregular heartbeat, heart attack and strokes. Meth also restricts blood flow and healing process. This can result in the skin turning grey, acne and open sores. Meth also curbs the appetite and can cause the user to become extremely skinny and frail. It makes them lose muscle tissue and bone density. Meth also makes their users hallucinate, causing them to often think there are bugs crawling under their skin. This causes the users to try and dig them out, leaving open sores.
